While no service involving close contact is completely safe, I believe that my practice is "safer." I'm currently seeing a maximum of 3 clients per day and scheduling 45 to 60 minutes in between appointments for disinfecting the office and filtering the air (exposing you to significantly fewer germs than in a large massage facility).
I've had 27 years of experience (with thousands of different clients) and lots of clinical continuing education focused on the neck, shoulders, and back. This gives me a large problem-solving toolkit.
Each session begins with a conversation to discover your needs and preferences for that day. Then we design your massage together using techniques and pressure appropriate to your goals. (Don't worry. I keep notes about your favorite things.)
No nickel-and-diming here! I don't charge extra for deeper pressure, hot towels, or aromatherapy.
It's all included!
I don't accept tips, so save your money and put it toward your next massage.
Since I put a minimum of 45 minutes between appointments, you get your full session time on the table (rather than a subtraction of 10 minutes for check-in/out and undressing/dressing as the massage chains do). .
Since I am a sole practitioner, we get to control the room temperature and the music (or silence). Laundry and cleaning are done with healthy, hypoallergenic supplies. Essential oils and massage lotions are always organic.
After 27 years of experience and training, I've got lots of self-care ideas to keep your body more comfortable even after you leave my office. I also have the time to share the information with you (since I control my own schedule and book extra time between clients).
I'm always learning new information and techniques from research, classes, and peer interactions. I am committed to practicing science-based massage that's effective and feels great.
I've cultivated a network of local healthcare practitioners. If I can't help you, chances are I know someone who can.
When you choose me as your massage therapist, you’re not paying the salary of a corporate CEO or stockholders of a large massage chain. You’re helping a solo practitioner run a small, local business.
